Can I Cancel My Globe Taxis Booking?
Yes, you can cancel any Globe Taxis booking. We offer free cancellation on all bookings cancelled at least 2 hours before your scheduled pickup time. There are no cancellation fees, no questions asked, and no penalties as long as you give us reasonable notice.
We know plans change — a flight gets rescheduled, a meeting gets cancelled, or something unexpected comes up. When that happens, just get in touch and we will sort it out straight away. Whether you booked a local taxi in Leighton Buzzard or an airport transfer, the same cancellation policy applies.
Cancellation Policy — Simple Version
Cancel 2 or more hours before pickup = completely free, no charge.
Cancel less than 2 hours before pickup = a small charge may apply depending on circumstances.

How to Cancel
How Do I Cancel My Booking?
There are three ways to cancel a Globe Taxis booking. All three work 24 hours a day — choose whichever is easiest for you:
Call Us — Fastest Option
Call 01525 455 455 any time — day or night. Tell the team your name, booking reference (if you have it), and that you need to cancel. Your booking is cancelled immediately on the call.
WhatsApp — Quick and Easy
Message us on WhatsApp at 07861 454280. Send your name, booking date and time, and the word Cancel. We respond quickly — usually within a few minutes during the day.
Email — For Written Confirmation
Email info@globetaxis.com with your booking details. Include your name, pickup date, time, and pickup address. We will confirm cancellation by return email.
Have your name and booking date ready when you contact us — it helps us find your booking faster and get it sorted for you straight away.
Editing Your Booking
What If I Want to Change My Booking Rather Than Cancel It?
You do not always need to cancel — sometimes you just need to change a detail. We can update any of the following on an existing booking:

- Pickup time — earlier or later
- Pickup address
- Drop-off destination
- Date of travel
- Number of passengers
- Number of cases
- Vehicle type — upgrade from saloon to MPV or minibus
- Add or remove a child seat
How to Change It
Call 01525 455 455 or WhatsApp 07861 454280 with your booking details and what you need to change.
We can usually update a booking immediately. If the change affects the price — for example upgrading from a saloon to a 6-seater MPV for a Stansted transfer — we will give you the updated fare before confirming the change.
Please try to give us as much notice as possible for changes, particularly for early morning pickups.
Late Cancellations
What Happens If I Cancel Less Than 2 Hours Before My Pickup?
If you need to cancel close to your pickup time, please still contact us as soon as you can. A small charge may apply in some circumstances — for example if a driver has already travelled to your area. However, we look at each situation individually and we are always reasonable.
If there are genuine circumstances — a family emergency, a flight cancelled by the airline, or a sudden illness — just explain the situation when you call and we will do what we can. We are a local Leighton Buzzard company, not a large corporation, and we treat our customers like people, not booking references.
For Heathrow airport transfers, Gatwick transfers, and other long-distance bookings, earlier cancellation is always better as drivers are allocated further in advance.

Refunds
Will I Get a Refund If I Cancel?
If you paid online or through the app and cancel with more than 2 hours notice, a full refund will be processed back to your original payment method. Refunds typically appear within 3 to 5 working days depending on your bank.
If you paid by cash on the day, there is nothing to refund — you simply will not be charged for the journey.

If We Miss Each Other
What Happens If I Cannot Find My Driver or They Cannot Find Me?
This rarely happens, but if it does — do not panic. When your driver arrives at the pickup address, they will call you directly using the phone number on your booking. If they cannot reach you, our control room will also try to contact you.
If you land at an airport and cannot see your driver — for example after a Luton Airport arrival or a return from Birmingham Airport — call us immediately on 01525 455 455. We will locate your driver within seconds. Your driver has your name on a board and is waiting in the Arrivals Hall.
We track all airport flights live, so your driver already knows if your flight was delayed. They will be there whenever you land.
Flight Delays
What If My Flight Is Delayed — Will My Booking Still Be Valid?
Yes, absolutely. All Globe Taxis airport pickups include free flight monitoring. We track your flight from the moment you book. If your flight is delayed by 30 minutes, an hour, or more — your driver automatically adjusts their arrival time. You will not be charged any extra waiting time for flight delays.
This applies to all airport transfers — whether you are coming back from Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, or Birmingham Airport. Your booking stays valid, your driver stays ready, and your fixed fare stays the same.
There is no need to call us if your flight is delayed — we are already monitoring it. But if your flight is diverted to a completely different airport, do let us know as soon as you can.
Driver Not Arrived?
My Driver Has Not Arrived — What Should I Do?
First — check the confirmation message we sent you. It has your driver’s name, vehicle make, and registration number. Look for that specific vehicle near your address.
If your driver is more than 5 minutes late and you have not heard from them, call us straight away on 01525 455 455. Our control room can contact the driver immediately and give you a live update.
We do not expect you to wait indefinitely without communication. If for any reason a driver cannot make it — which is extremely rare — we will always arrange an alternative as quickly as possible. We have a fleet of vehicles in Leighton Buzzard and surrounding areas, so cover is almost always available.
Pre-Booked Journeys
I Booked in Advance — Can I Still Cancel Closer to the Date?
Yes. Advance bookings can be cancelled any time up to 2 hours before the scheduled pickup, free of charge. It does not matter if you booked 3 days ago or 3 months ago — the same policy applies.
If your plans are uncertain, you can always book knowing that cancellation is available if you need it. We take bookings up to 3 months in advance through booking.globetaxis.com, and all of them carry the same free cancellation option.
If you booked a long-distance journey — say a long distance taxi from Leighton Buzzard to Manchester or Edinburgh — please give us as much notice as possible if you need to cancel. These journeys require specific driver allocation and more lead time to rearrange.
